Poll: What’s The Best Color of White Paint For A Vehicle?
I want to paint my car white but I can’t decide on what color white to paint it. I’m stuck between frost white, pearl white, or championship white. I see a lot of luxury cars with unknown shades of white I like too, specifically Caddy’s and Lexus’, but I don’t know the names of those factory paints. In the end, I know it’s what ever make me happy but I’d still like to hear other opinions. Thanks!
Ok, depending on what kind of car it is would dictate the shade, and your right, it should be whatever your comfortable with. My best advise I can give is to find a car color you like, seek out the owner if possible and ask them if you can have the last 8 digits of the VIN for the purpose of a color code, then call the dealer and ask them to give you the code. An easier way is to look at a chip guide at your local Vehicle Paint Store. If your hung up on the colors you mentioned, Pearl White makes a good luxury car color, Corvette White on the other hand, I believe it’s Code 69, makes a very good white for vehicles more about performance such as Camaro’s, Mustangs, and others in this class. What I’ve found in the 30+ years of being in the Auto Repair and Customizing Business, most white paint is personalized with the way it’s striped whether it be a fine pinstripe or a more bolder wider stripe or stripes. The color white is more of a base. One more thing I would add, If you seek out the color of your preference, you might also seek out a car like your own to give you a better understanding of what your actually looking at. Good Luck!
