pc jacks which wire goes where? and how to wire a headset?

whats the blue for and if for headphones how can spkr and headphone work together if at all do I have to alter settings problem is access every time I need spkrs I have to pull the tower out and change jack plugs help would just a couple of extension sockes with green and pink be the easiest way?

Ok it depends on your motherboard. If your motherboard has 2 channel audio onboard the connection will be pink=mic, green = speakers and blue = line input ie if you want to connect some aux device form out side.

If your motherboard supports 6 channel audio then you can configure the ports in software to all port = speaker out for 6 channel speakers or 2 port = speaker out for 4.1 speakers and 1 port = speaker out for 2.1 speakers.

So if your motherboard support 6 channel audio, you can configure the audio software and configure it to one port = speaker one port = headphone and one port = mic. So that both speaker and headphone will work at the same time.
